TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with the American television network Newsmax, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko denied the accusations that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is involved in drug trafficking.

He said: "Neither you nor I has such evidence. This claim is not true."
The Belarusian official added: "Drug trafficking, like many other phenomena, including human trafficking, prostitution, and arms trafficking, is a reality of today's world. It must be fought, but drug trafficking cannot be eliminated with missiles."
Lukashenko emphasized that instead of waging war, it is probably necessary to look for new ways to combat drug trafficking.
He said that if Nicolas Maduro decides to visit Belarus, he will be welcomed, but such an issue has not been raised so far.
