TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the Palestinian Information Center, Bashar Murad, director of health programs of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Gaza, stated that about 80 percent of the water supply networks were destroyed during the recent war, adding: This situation has forced many families to use bottled water, which, according to laboratory results, contains viruses and bacteria that cause digestive diseases.

He added: Various areas of Gaza are witnessing the spread of digestive infectious diseases and influenza, especially among children, as a result of population density, extreme cold, and environmental pollution.
Murad also emphasized that the Red Crescent had developed a preventive plan to support vulnerable groups and provide immediate aid before the arrival of the recent rain system, but this aid is still far below the actual minimum needs of the affected population in Gaza.
