France's Solidarity with Denmark Against Trump's Threats Against Greenland

TEHRAN (Defapress) - France has expressed its full solidarity with Denmark in response to US President Donald Trump's recent threats to seize the autonomous territory of Greenland.

Pascal Confavreux, spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry, stated in an interview with the TF1 television channel: "Borders cannot be changed by force."

He added: "Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders and the Danes, and it is up to them to decide what to do with it."

These French statements come at a time when Trump has recently once again emphasized the need for US control over Greenland for security reasons and has not even ruled out the possibility of using military force. Trump's stance has raised further concerns in Europe after the US military operation in Venezuela and the overthrow of Nicolas Maduro.

Denmark and Greenland have also previously condemned these threats and emphasized that Greenland is not for sale.
