Clashes Continue Between the SDF and the Jolani Forces in Syria

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the Ministry of Defense of the regime of self-proclaimed Syrian President Abu Mohammad al-Jolani announced that a drone attack by the SDF forces on a police checkpoint in the Dayr Hafir suburbs in eastern Aleppo injured three military personnel.

Media affiliated with the Jolani also reported that six civilians were injured in the attack.

The Jolani Ministry of Defense emphasized that the army will respond to these attacks with all its might.

In recent months, sporadic clashes between the SDF and Jolani-affiliated groups in eastern Aleppo and the Deir ez-Zur suburbs have increased, and have repeatedly led to reciprocal airstrikes and drone strikes. These tensions have resulted in the deaths and injuries of military and civilian personnel and the destruction of local infrastructure.

It is worth noting that the March 10 agreement between the Jolani regime and the so-called SDF forces was signed to set a framework for political and security talks and reduce tensions in northern and eastern Syria.

The agreement focused on stopping field clashes, starting negotiations on the integration of military and administrative structures, and emphasizing the unity and territorial integrity of Syria.

However, disagreements over how to implement the agreement's provisions and the SDF's continued relationship with foreign actors have presented serious challenges to its operationalization.
