Denmark's Attempts to Dissuade Trump from Seizing Greenland

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Denmark's Foreign Minister, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, stated: "America is not just Trump; there is also power balance and official must be accountable for their decisions in that country."

Rasmussen added that despite Washington's threats, Denmark has taken a diplomatic path and agreed with the U.S. Vice President on the diplomatic process regarding Greenland.

Rasmussen added: We have strong European support for Greenland, and we need a European Union response to Trump on this issue.

The US President has explicitly stated in recent days that Greenland must be under American control, either peacefully or by other means.

Donald Trump has also threatened that eight European countries including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, UK, the Netherlands, and Finland will face a 10% tariff as of February 1st due to the Greenland issue.
