Israel's Prisons Are Preparing to Execute Palestinian Prisoners

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, based on Israel's Channel 13, the law was approved in the first stage in the regime's parliament (Knesset) and includes prisoners whom Israel accuses of carrying out attacks or planning them.

According to the plan, a special complex is to be established to execute death sentences, the necessary procedures and instructions will be developed, the execution forces will be trained, and the experiences of countries that carry out similar punishments will be used.

This complex is called the "Israeli Green Corridor" within the prison system. The execution will be carried out by hanging and will be carried out by three guards who will simultaneously press the operation button.

The selection of team members is voluntary, and the guards undergo special training. According to informed sources, the executions will be carried out within 90 days of the final verdict.

According to the plan, the executions will first include elite Hamas members who participated in the October 7, 2023, attack, and then prisoners convicted of carrying out dangerous attacks (according to Israeli authorities) in the West Bank.

In addition, it has been reported that a delegation from the Israel Prisons Service is due to travel to a country in East Asia soon to study the legal and organizational aspects of implementing the sentence.

This comes after 12 UN experts had previously called on Tel Aviv to suspend the death penalty for “terrorist acts” and warned that Israel’s military law in the occupied territories violates international law.

The proposed law would allow the execution of any Palestinian who kills an Israeli citizen, but would not allow it to be carried out for Israelis who kill Palestinians.
