TEHRAN (Defapress) - Sheikh Maher Hamoud, head of the World Union of Resistance Scholars, last night, during a speech about recent developments in the region, especially the threats and conspiracies of the American-Zionist enemy against Iran, announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a high level of security experience and is superior to other countries in this regard.

Source of Iran’s Power Lies in Its Great Leadership

Sheikh Maher Hamoud stated in an interview with the Iraqi Al-Nujaba Network: The 12-day war strengthened internal solidarity in Iran, and the country has full power to protect its internal front.

He emphasized: The source of Iran’s power lies more than any weapon in the great leadership of this country, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is the most sincere supporter of the Palestinian cause.

The Head of the World Union of Resistance Scholars warned against any escalation or incitement of the American-Zionist axis in the region and announced that any escalation of tension will set the entire region on fire.

Sheikh Maher Hamoud continued: "The Axis of Resistance is the axis of steadfastness on principles and must adhere to its strategic patience."

Sheikh Maher Hamoud also announced during a solidarity meeting held at the invitation of the World Union of Resistance Scholars in his office in Sidon, southern Lebanon, that standing with the Islamic Republic of Iran at this time is a religious duty and a free position that is not affected by pressure or power, and the criterion for taking a position is not the number of supporters, but rather siding with the truth.

Sheikh Hamoud emphasized in this meeting, which was attended by several scholars and representatives of Lebanese political parties and Palestinian groups: "We stand with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in this difficult time, it is our religious duty to adopt a free position, a position that is not dictated by any authority, but based on our responsibility before God and our people, to stand with the truth, with Iran, with the Resistance, and with Palestine."

He stated: If Iran remains steadfast in this confrontation, which God willing, it will happen, it will be a turning point on the path of the great victory of the resistance.

At the end of this meeting, Sheikh Ghazi Hanina, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Muslim Scholars’ Association, read a final statement that stated: We have come together out of our religious, moral, and human responsibility and with belief in the common destiny of free nations.

The meeting's stamenet showed solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized: We are following the rapid developments in the region, especially the hostile rhetoric and threats of the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the continuation of the economic blockade and the intensification of unilateral and illegitimate sanctions against this country, the efforts and conspiracies to isolate Iran politically and in the media, and to distort its image and the axis of resistance, and other hostile movements of the enemies.

The participants in the meeting also addressed the political and moral scandals of the United States and the West, as exemplified by the Epstein Island case, and emphasized that this raises serious questions about the credibility of rhetoric about democracy and human rights. The positions that Western countries take regarding the brutal Zionist aggression against the people of Gaza and Lebanon also reveal a clear contradiction between their human rights claims and slogans and the behavior they carry out in practice.

The statement continued by emphasizing the focus on the Palestinian cause, stating: The security of the region is inseparable, and any conspiracy and aggression against Iran affects the entire region. Iran's support for Palestine is a matter of principle and morality, and Arab countries should not separate themselves from the main issues of the Islamic Ummah, at the forefront of which is the cause of Palestine, and move towards compromise with the Zionist criminals.
