No One Trusts US Diplomacy

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Speaking to India Today, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said, “The impact and consequences of the war on the global economy are directly due to the illegal and reckless war that the US and Israel have imposed on Iran and the entire region.”

He added, “I understand that the global economy is affected by what is happening in our region, but it is not our fault. You are worried about the price of oil and the price of food, but we are worried about the lives of our citizens. I must say that we have a very disastrous experience with US diplomacy.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry official added, “We were attacked twice in nine months when we were in the middle of a negotiation process to resolve the nuclear issue. This was a betrayal of diplomacy. This phrase is very popular in Iran now, because it happened not once, but twice; so no one can trust US diplomacy.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also said about the passage through the Strait of Hormuz: “Ships belonging to the United States, Israel, and other countries that in any way participate in or assist the aggression against Iran are not allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Other countries that have nothing to do with this act of aggression against Iran can pass through.”
