TEHRAN (Defapress) - Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminiya, Spokesperson for the Iranian Army, detailing the dimensions of the Third Imposed War at a public gathering held Saturday in Tehran, said: "On the 29th of Bahman [Iranian calendar date equivalent to February 18], an unjust and unwanted war was imposed on our beloved country, and despite various plans and goals, the enemy failed to achieve them."

We Will Not Allow Enemies to Pass Through the Strait of Hormuz

Brigadier General Akraminiya added: "As time passed and we reached the fortieth day of the Third Imposed War, followed by a ceasefire, investigations show that it was our enemies who were surprised, not the Iranian nation. In this battle, we were the defenders, while America and the Zionist regime were the aggressors. Contrary to the enemy's expectations, we surprised them. The enemy is now in a state of desperation and passivity, and time is moving in our favor."

The Army Spokesperson then pointed to the three main axes of the enemy's surprise, and referring to the epic presence of the proud Iranian people on the scene, said: "The enemies thought that with military aggression, the assassination of our beloved Leader and high-ranking commanders, and the bombing of centers such as schools, the Iranian people would be shocked, bewildered, and surrender, exactly what the abhorrent American president called for on the third day of the war. They hoped that some people would take to the streets and overthrow the system. But the people acted exactly opposite to the enemy's will, and by creating a great epic, they delivered a heavy blow to them and created a magnificent epic."

Emphasizing that today the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys stronger support, he stated: "The enemy thought that within 3 to 5 days of operations, the Islamic Republic of Iran would collapse, so that their next goal, the disintegration of Iran in line with the 'Greater Israel' strategy, would be realized. But the proud and courageous nation of Iran foiled all these plans. Today, both friend and foe admit that the Islamic Republic of Iran, backed by the epic presence of the Iranian people on the scene, has become stronger than 60 days ago."

The Army Spokesperson called the capability of the Armed Forces the second surprise for the enemy, saying: "The enemy thought that with the initial shock and the first three days of the war, we would no longer be able to launch missiles or fire drones. But the Armed Forces maintained their combat capability until the last day before the ceasefire, and we emerged stronger than during the 12-day Imposed War."

He continued: "We inflicted such damage on American bases in the region that, due to news censorship, the evidence will be gradually disclosed over the coming months. Just as we saw in the 12-day Imposed War, it took months for the facts to be revealed; it will soon become clear what damage has been inflicted on American bases and military installations of the abhorrent Zionist regime."

Brigadier  General Akraminiya described the third and perhaps most important surprise for the enemy in the Third Imposed War as the 'control of the Strait of Hormuz' and explained: "We had a legitimate right that we had not used for years. Every country would pass through the Strait of Hormuz with innocent passage without us paying any attention. But this war made us realize our own geopolitical and geostrategic capability, and we placed the Strait of Hormuz under our strategic control."

He emphasized: "Now, the Army in the east and the IRGC in the west of the Strait of Hormuz have taken full control of this waterway with strength, and no ship will be allowed to pass without the permission of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Brigadier General Akraminiya stated that the Strait of Hormuz will bring economic revenue for Iran, adding: "Calculations show that the revenue from it within this same year will exceed our oil sales revenue. By controlling the Strait, we can prevent the seditious entry of foreigners into the West Asia region." He counted neutralizing sanctions as another important gain from controlling the Strait of Hormuz and said: "Countries that in past years, following America, blocked our oil money and accompanied the sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, are now begging to pass through the strait. For example, some East Asian countries, including South Korea, which depend on Persian Gulf oil products and previously didn't pay their money due to sanctions, have now committed to no longer following them. We will neutralize sanctions by controlling the Strait of Hormuz."

At the end, the Army Spokesperson, referring to the luminous message of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the occasion of Persian Gulf Day, in which he stated, 'America will no longer have a place in the Persian Gulf, except at the bottom of its waters,' emphasized to the dear Iranian nation: "I promise you on behalf of the Armed Forces that we will not allow enemies to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and we will roll up America's presence in the region. A new security order based on the participation of Muslim and neighboring countries in the region will prevail. Your epic presence, dear nation, humiliated America, just as the German Chancellor admitted a few days ago that the Iranian nation has humiliated Trump and America, and this process will continue until the complete defeat of the enemy."
