TEHRAN (Defapress) - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, issued a major message on the occasion of the funeral and burial of the martyred Leader and his companions. Expressing deep gratitude for the historic, multi-million-strong participation of people across cities and villages in Iran and Iraq, particularly in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad, the Supreme Leader described this monumental awakening as a powerful echo of Imam Hussein's voice of innocence and oppression. He noted that this historic turnout has revived the foundational fervor of Imam Hussein within the nation, breathing new life into the school of thought of the late Imam Khomeini and the martyred Khamenei.

Emphasizing that the Iranian nation remains the avenger of the blood of oppressed people like Imam Hussein, the Leader declared that taking revenge on the disgraced criminal perpetrators who martyred the Leader is the definitive demand of the nation and will undoubtedly be realized. In an explicit warning to the perpetrators, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei asserted that these criminals won't die peacefully. He made it clear that the fulfillment of this divine mission does not depend on his own presence or that of any other official; rather, whether current officials remain or not, this promise will be kept, and freedom-seekers worldwide will soon execute parts of this divine mandate.

In another part of the message, the Supreme Leader bid farewell to the martyred Leader and his martyred family members, who rest in the sacred soil of Mashhad after years of unceasing struggle. The Supreme Leader reaffirmed the nation’s covenant to safeguard this path, to walk this straight line of resistance with steadfastness, and to fear no hardships along the way. Concluding the message with condolences to Imam Mahdi, the Leader prayed for the highest spiritual stations for the martyrs, hoping for their return alongside the righteous on the day of divine advent, while asking God for patience for the bereaved families and a definitive, near victory for the nation of Iran.
