Terrorists Clash with Pakistani Army Near Iranian Border

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Gunmen attacked a convoy of vehicles carrying minerals in the Nushki region of Pakistan. Reports indicate that more than 200 vehicles were set on fire.

The attacks were carried out after the declaration of an economic blockade by the terrorist group called the Balochistan Liberation Army, which had previously threatened to block trade routes.

A military convoy was also targeted. The attack occurred two days after three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the region. In Harnai, gunmen blew up a checkpoint and a telecommunications tower. Counter-terrorism forces were also attacked in Kohlu, and clashes broke out in Tazina.

Pakistani officials announced that 16 terrorists were killed and several hideouts were destroyed in the retaliatory operation.
