Appointment of Six High-Ranking Commanders in the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the IRGC, and the Basij Organization
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, issued separate decrees announcing the responsibilities and missions of six high-ranking commanders and managers of the Armed Forces.
According to these decrees, Major General Ali Abdollahi was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
Additionally, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, with the conferral of the rank of Major General, took over as the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Major General Mostafa Izadi assumed the position of Deputy Chief of the IRGC.
Furthermore, the command of the IRGC Navy was assigned to Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei, and the command of the Basij Organization was entrusted to Hujjat al-Islam Hossein Taeb.
