White House Is Looking for a More Moderate Figure in the Occupied Territories

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Hassan Hanizadeh, an expert on West Asian issues, said in an interview with the Defapress correspondent about the upcoming elections in the Zionist regime and the fate of Prime Minister Netanyahu of this regime: "The upcoming elections in the Zionist regime are one of the important elections in the occupied territories. The reason for this importance is that the polarizations existing among the Israeli parties are in opposition to the Likud Party and the aggressive behavior of Benjamin Netanyahu both within the occupied territories and at the regional level.

Hanizadeh added: "In the upcoming elections, the center and left parties of the Zionist regime are on the same front against the extremist religious and political parties of Israel. In such circumstances, it seems that the Likud Party has less chance of gaining a majority of seats in the Israeli Knesset, and this party will be removed from the cycle of power."

The expert on West Asian issues continued: On the other hand, we are witnessing that the financial case of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu is currently pending in the Supreme Court of the Zionist regime, and a court ruling will soon be issued against Netanyahu, and perhaps Benjamin Netanyahu will end up behind bars.

He noted: Accordingly, it seems that the chances of the left and centerist parties of Israel are greater due to the high costs that the Likud Party has placed on the shoulders of the Zionists in the occupied territories over the past years. Accordingly, it can be predicted that other parties will form a coalition cabinet after these elections, and the Likud Party will also gain a minority in the future.

Hanizadeh added: Given the current situation in the occupied territories and the issues and problems that the Zionist regime is facing at home and abroad, it must be said that the chances of Benjamin Netanyahu, the current Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, to seize power will be very low.

The expert on West Asian issues stated: But on the other hand, we are witnessing that the chances of new parties and centerist and left parties to win the elections will be greater. In fact, it must be said that the future cabinet of the Zionist regime will be a cabinet of waste, and among the small parties, the party that will win the most seats will form the cabinet.

He clarified: Of course, we must point out this very important point that this cabinet will be a coalition, and even the Likud Party will be present in the future cabinet, considering that it will win fewer seats. But Benjamin Netanyahu's chances for an absolute victory will be low.

Hanizadeh added: In fact, it should be said that because Benjamin Netanyahu has lost his popularity inside the occupied Palestinian territories and, in parallel, has faced increasing disagreements with the Donald Trump team, it seems that he will definitely be removed from the cycle of power.

The West Asian expert continued: With the Likud party and Benjamin Netanyahu personally leaving power, the region will move towards peace and the creation of a political mechanism based on regional peace plans such as the Gaza peace plan and the seven-party talks that have been held between Lebanon and the Zionist regime.

He noted: It seems that the future direction of the Zionist regime will move towards peace and reducing existing tensions due to internal conditions and the staggering cost of the war that Benjamin Netanyahu has imposed on Israel.

Hanizadeh added: Regarding the role and position of Donald Trump in the possible defeat of Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming elections, it is important to note that the escalation of differences between the two is because Trump was deceived by Netanyahu and entered a war against Iran that has cost the United States and the Zionist regime hundreds of billions of dollars.
