US equations in region thwarted by Resistance Front
Head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and
Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a Tuesday
meeting with Head of Lebanon’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, Mohammad Raad,
in Tehran.
The Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc is Hezbollah's political wing in the Lebanese parliament with two seats since 2012.
Boroujerdi deemed supporting the Resistance movement and Lebanon’s Hezbollah a duty of all Muslims in the world.
He further congratulated Raad on Hezbollah’s recent victories in Arsal mountainous border area against al-Nusra Front, also known as Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, adding "preserving the unity and integrity of the resistance forces and rebuilding the areas destroyed by takfiri groups should be Lebanon’s top priorities.”
The Lebanese parliamentary official, for his part, highlighted Iran’s role as the true supporter of oppressed nations in the world.
Raad went on to criticize certain regional countries for their attempts at undermining the Resistance Front, adding "policies of Saudi Arabia and its regional allies toward weakening the Resistance Front and creating a gap among Muslim countries are in line with advancing the Zionist regime’s objectives.”
He further called for the continuation of talks and cooperation between the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc and Iran’s Parliament.
