Iran commemorating 40th National Army Day

Tehran (Defapress) –The ceremony marking the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Day on April 18 has kicked off with President Rouhani’s address in front of the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in capital Tehran.

Apart from President Hassan Rouhani, the ceremony is attended by Chief of General Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Minister of Defense Amir Hatami, Army Commander-in-Chief Abdolrahim Mousavi, Navy commander Amir Khanzadi, and heads of the main divisions of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Iran is commemorating the event with a large-scale military parade.

During the parade, new defense achievements, advanced military equipment and hardware will be unveiled.

Another such parade was also held by Iran’s Navy forces in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, with the country’s warships and destroyers sailing in the strategic waters in a show of power.
