TEHRAN (Defapress) –Speaking at a ceremony to provide a number of quake-hit people with 27 houses in the Western city of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah Province on Wednesday, Major General Jafari said, “Our brothers from the IRGC’s Tehran (division) broke the record in building permanent houses in the area and proved that it is possible to construct residential buildings within just a month.”
Beneficence, sacrifice, and selfless devotion prevail in the quake-stricken areas, he said, adding that all Shiites and Sunnis have come to the district to help the people.
The fact that the Islamic Republic has been able to stand against all enemies and defeat them has its roots in its people’s spirit of selfless devotion.
IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari has visited the affected areas in Kermanshah several times to assess the process of the IRGC’s relief operations in the province.
On November 12, Kermanshah was hit by a major 7.3-magnitude quake that killed 620 people.
In order to expedite reconstruction activities, the Iranian Army and IRGC forces have been working hand in hand in the province.
