US Kills, Injures 60 Civilians in Fresh Strikes on Syria’s Deir Ez-ZorAccording to SANA news agency, the US-led airstrikes targeted a purported Daesh hideout on the outskirts of Sha’afa on Monday.

At least 60 people were killed and injured during the raids, the report added.

Residents of Hajin district in the province had also been targeted by the airstrikes of the coalition’s fighter jets on Friday, when 26 people, mostly women and children, were killed.

The US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against what are said to be Daesh targets inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a UN mandate.

The military alliance has repeatedly been accused of targeting and killing civilians. It has also been largely incapable of achieving its declared goal of destroying Daesh.

On December 14, 2017, Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the US-led coalition was indeed targeting civilian facilities and providing Daesh terrorists with cover.
