Trump may cancel G20 meeting with PutinAccording to a report by Politico on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said during an interview with The Washington Post, that he was still waiting to receive a “full report” from his national security team on the Sunday episode off the coast of Crimea in the Sea of Azov, where Russia seized three Ukrainian naval vessels due to illegal trespassing into Russian waters.

In response, Ukraine imposed martial law in the border regions of the country for 30 days during a Monday vote in the parliament.

Trump said his decision to meet with Putin at the G-20 summit this Friday and Saturday Buenos Aries, Argentina, would be “very determinative” on the report he receives from his team, according to Politico.

“Maybe I won’t have the meeting. Maybe I won’t even have the meeting,” Trump told The Post on Tuesday. “I don’t like that aggression. I don’t want that aggression at all.”

The last meeting between Trump and Putin was in June in Finland.

The 2018 G20 Buenos Aires summit will be the 13th meeting of Group of Twenty, scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The US president is slated to meet with a number of world leaders at the G20, including President Mauricio Macri of Argentina, President Moon Jae-in of South Korea, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, China’s leader, Xi Jinping, as well as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
