Iran, Russia, Turkey FMs likely to hold meeting on SyriaTurkey's foreign minister said Ankara supports the Russia's proposal for a meeting at the ministerial level between three Syria truce guarantor countries, Iran, Russia and Turkey, to discuss forming the Syrian constitutional committee in the near future.

"Now this issue has to be shared with the Iranian side. Turkey also agrees to host this visit," he added.

Representatives of Russia, Iran and Turkey, along with the United Nations' chief mediator for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, are working on a constitutional committee, consisting of the parties involved in the ongoing conflict in Syria.

The 11th round of Syria peace talks in the Astana format kicked off in the Kazakh capital on Wednesday, with representatives of three guarantor states and Syrian opposition group in attendance. In the meeting, ongoing efforts for a political solution to the Syrian conflict were coordinated and developments on the ground were discussed.

The UN envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura has called the last Syria peace talks of the year in Astana, a "missed opportunity" for the Syrian people, as he said the talks in the Kazakh capital ended without results.
