TEHRAN (Defapress) - "There is no doubt about the necessity of establishing a ceasefire in Gaza. Because the world is fed up with the war against the defenseless people of Palestine and it cannot bear to accept the crimes of the Zionists anymore", Kanaani said.

Iran welcomes the ceasefire in Gaza

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued that what is happening in Gaza is not only a crime against Palestine, but a crime against humanity, peace, and security of the world, and the continuation of this crime is the result of the inaction of international institutions and organizations and the support of the United States for the Zionist regime.

He announced that Iran welcomes any effort that leads to the end of the war, and in recent months, Iran has used all its diplomatic capacity to end this barbaric slaughter and this war.

Kanaani while pointing out that the Zionist regime has shown that it has no desire to end the war, added: We witness that this criminal regime continues to kill the Palestinian nation. On the other hand, Hamas has also announced its views that the Zionist regime has added new conditions to the negotiations, which shows a lack of desire for peace and a cease-fire, and now the ball is in the time of America and Israel.

He considered the issue of ceasefire and Iran's right to respond to this aggressor regime as two different issues and reminded that the issue of ceasefire and Iran's right to respond to this aggressor regime that has violated our territorial integrity are two different issues. The ceasefire is now an international and global demand. As Iran, we are determined to stop the war and cease-fire, and we support the efforts of the countries that seek a cease-fire. However, this issue is not directly related to Iran's response to punish the aggressor.
