Closure of more than 100 hospitals in Lebanon

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The World Health Organization announced that the aggression of the Zionist regime against Lebanon has caused the closure of 5 hospitals and 100 clinics in this country.

The Director General of world health orgnization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, emphasized taht out of 207 medical centers in the conflict areas in Lebanon, 100 centers have been closed due to the escalation of tensions. Also, 5 hospitals have been closed in this country due to the severity of the damage caused by the attacks.

He stressed the need to stop the attacks against health workers in Lebanon and pointed to the martyrdom of nearly 100 of them.

Adhanom that the number of wounded is increasing and the health system of Lebanon is struggling with difficult conditions due to limited manpower.

The Ministry of Health of Lebanon announced that the number of medical centers in this country reaches 311, and including these figures, one third of the mentioned centers have been closed due to the attacks of the Zionist regime.
