Following the developments in Syria is essential to safeguard Iran’s national interests

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Hossein Akbari, Iran's ambassador in Syria, met with Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, this afternoon (Sunday).

In this meeting, Akbari provided a report on the latest developments in Syria and the measures and precautions taken to ensure the security and safety of the embassy staff and diplomatic and consular premises of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the recent developments in this country.

In this meeting, the Foreign Minister provided recommendations on the necessity of continuing to closely follow the developments in Syria in order to safeguard Iran’s national interests and security, protect Syria’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and maintain regional security and stability.
