TEHRAN (Defapress) - Citing Al-Mayadeen, the American publication Newsweek reported that there are many uncertainties about the readiness of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and al-Jolani to fulfill their promises to avoid extremism.
The report states that the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime is a dramatic development in the direction of the civil war in Syria; so there are deep concerns about the uncertainty about the future of the country.
Newsweek added that there are also concerns about the emergence of new clashes between HTS and elements of the national army on the one hand and Kurdish elements supported by the United States on the other; because these forces control a third of Syria in the north and east of the country.
US-backed Kurdish forces have announced that their base along the border strip between Syria and Turkey will become a turning point in the coming decisive battle.
