TEHRAN (Defapress) - Esmail Baghaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described today's brutal and unprecedented attacks by the US, the UK and the Zionist regime on the provinces of Sanaa, Hodeidah and Amran in Yemen as the height of lawlessness and violation of the fundamental principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and condemned them in the strongest terms.

Iran's Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemned the US/UK Airstrike Against Yemen

The Foreign Ministry spokesman described the aggressive attacks by the US, UK, and the Zionist regime on Yemeni infrastructure and civil centers - which took place coinciding with the millions of honorable Yemeni people demonstrating in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and condemning the genocide in Gaza - as a clear sign of US and UK complicity in the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and strongly condemned the inaction of international organizations in response to the Zionist regime's genocide and the expansion of the scope of the regime's and its supporters' warmongering.

Baghaei once again noted the legal and moral responsibility of all governments and international and Islamic communities to stop the genocide and gross violations of international humanitarian law in occupied Palestine, as well as the UN Security Council's commitment to prevent aggressive actions against Yemen, and emphasized that the escalation of US and UK military aggression and the occupation regime against Yemen cannot distract public attention from the severity and depth of the crimes committed in Gaza.
