TEHRAN (Defapress) - After Hamas launched a complex ambush operation titled "Breaking the Sword" on Saturday afternoon, April 19, in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, dealing a heavy and painful blow to the Zionist regime’s army, resulting in the death of one Israeli soldier and the injury of five others—Zionist sources expressed deep fear and concern, highlighting the vulnerability of the regime’s military against Hamas fighters.
However, this fear and anxiety within the Zionist regime entered a new phase and intensified dramatically when Zionist sources, in a state of terror, reported that Hamas has recently bolstered its ranks by recruiting over 30,000 new fighters, gaining fresh forces for the battlefields. This development clearly demonstrates that the Zionist regime’s objectives and plans to weaken and eliminate Hamas have completely failed.
On the other hand, experts and media analysts stated that the successful execution of the "Breaking the Sword" operation is a clear sign that this Palestinian Islamic Resistance and jihadist group has effectively rebuilt its military strength and, with renewed vigor, is preparing for a larger and more impactful presence in the Gaza war. This has already caused panic among Tel Aviv’s leaders and officials.
In reality, reports of Hamas recruiting 30,000 new fighters carry a significant message: the Resistance continues, military strength is growing, and the morale of Palestinian youth remains high against the Zionist regime’s war machine and aggression. Moreover, the recruitment of such a large number indicates that Hamas has not been weakened during the Gaza war but is instead expanding its military structure.
Accordingly, it is expected that these 30,000 new recruits will be deployed in various units, including combat brigades like the Al-Qassam Brigades, missile and artillery systems, tunnel and Resistance infrastructure defense, and particularly in intelligence and counter-espionage operations.
Another critical factor adding to the Zionist regime’s fear is that Hamas has gained extensive experience from the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation, prompting its commanders and leaders to actively work on improving their combat techniques and tactics. Additionally, evidence suggests that Hamas is seeking to enhance its missile and artillery capabilities against the Zionist regime.
Another priority for Hamas’ military leaders is strengthening defensive lines against the Zionist army’s ground attacks. Since the start of the Gaza war—now over a year and a half old—many Hamas fighters and some of its defensive lines have been damaged, requiring reconstruction and reinforcement with new personnel.
Amid these developments, recruiting over 30,000 new fighters sends a strong political and popular message: the Resistance is alive. The significant increase in fresh forces also demonstrates that the Palestinian people, particularly the younger generation, still deeply believe in armed struggle as the solution to liberate the occupied Palestinian territories from the Zionist regime.
Furthermore, although the Zionist war machine martyred some Hamas leaders and commanders during the Gaza conflict, the current fighters and new recruits will each step onto the battlefield like Yahya Sinwar, sacrificing and shining just like Hamas’ martyred commanders.
Ultimately, the recruitment of 30,000 new fighters by Hamas clearly shows that the Palestinian Resistance is not only undefeated but thriving. With renewed strength and increased capabilities, they see the only path to the complete liberation of Palestinian lands as the continuation of the struggle against the Zionist enemy until their homeland is free.
