Congressmen's Letter to Rubio to End the Gaza Blockade

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a letter to America's Secretary of State, 19 members of Congress called for an immediate end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip and the entry of aid into the Strip.
The letter states: "We are outraged by the use of humanitarian aid and starvation as weapons of war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."
Al Jazeera reported that the letter said: "We demand the restoration of US funding for the United Nations Relief and UNRWA and an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza."
The congressmen added: "The so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, made up of military contractors, has failed to meet basic standards for distributing aid in Gaza."
