TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) announced in a report that 70 percent of Palestinians in Gaza suffer from "severe weakness due to hunger," which has prevented most of them from accessing humanitarian aid.

According to the organization, "the physical weakness of the people is so severe that many are unable to walk the long distance to aid distribution centers or even carry heavy loads if they receive aid." These findings were obtained based on a survey of Palestinians present in Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, Gaza City, and northern Gaza.

Of the 39 people interviewed by tDRC between May 22 and July 27, 46 percent said they only had access to clean water twice a week in their current location. 28 percent said they received a hot meal from a public kitchen once a week. However, 31 percent announced that they had not received any services in the past month.

Respondents also reported witnessing innocent people, including their family members, being shot and killed while trying to access aid distribution centers. The Danish Refugee Council described the aid distribution system as “militarised-backed distribution scheme.”

Gazans also call this aid “blood aid” or “aid soaked in blood” due to the high level of violence by Israeli and American soldiers.
