TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Israeli army is currently carrying out a massive demolition operation in Gaza City, bombing the remaining multi-story buildings to displace residents.
On Tuesday, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote on X in an aggressive statement: “An urgent call to all residents of Gaza City and all its neighborhoods, from the Old City and Al-Tuffah in the east to the Sea in the west. The Israeli army is determined to defeat Hamas and will operate with great force in the Gaza City area, as it has operated throughout the Gaza Strip.”
He claimed: “For your safety, evacuate immediately via the Al-Rashid Corridor to the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi... It is very dangerous to stay in the area.”
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned residents of Gaza City to leave immediately, hours after Israel announced its intention to intensify its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
“I say to the residents of Gaza, take this opportunity and listen carefully: you have been warned - leave now,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu added that Israeli forces are now regrouping and assembling inside Gaza City for a ground operation.
In a video address, the Israeli prime minister stressed that the army has bombed 50 buildings used by Hamas in Gaza City over the past two days.
“In two days, we have destroyed 50 towers, and this is just the beginning of an intensive ground operation in Gaza City.”
In this regard, "Israel Hayom" also wrote, citing a security source: If Hamas rejects Trump's ceasefire offer, Israel will continue its operation until it occupies Gaza City.
The newspaper reported, citing a security source: Estimates confirm that approximately 300,000 Palestinians have refused evacuation orders from Gaza City.
The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that five high-rise buildings, including 209 apartments, were bombed within 72 hours.
The organization noted that more than 4,100 children, women, and the elderly have been rendered homeless.
A few days ago, Israel began a gradual campaign of demolition of high-rise residential buildings in Gaza City, which has increased the number of displaced families and forced them into harsh conditions of displacement.
Observers warn that the aim is to forcibly relocate Palestinians southward, as part of a broader Israeli-American plan to displace them from the Gaza Strip.
