TEHRAN (Defapress) - Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General, stated in a speech: “Gaza is disappearing and turning into a desert that will not be habitable for humans.”
According to Al Jazeera, he added: “Children in Gaza are suffering from severe hunger, families are being forcibly displaced, and people are living in fear and terror.”
The UNRWA Commissioner-General said: “Now more than ever, political will and decision-making are essential to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.”
Gaza Civil Defense Spokesperson, Mahmoud Basal, said that in the last 24 hours, more than 6,000 citizens have been left homeless due to the attacks of the Zionist regime.
He stated that the Zionist regime warned some buildings to evacuate to attack them, but attacked other houses that did not threaten them, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of many people.
Mahmoud Basal said that the residents of Gaza City are currently living in very difficult conditions due to the siege and continuous bombing.
He stated that more than a million people in Gaza City are facing death threats due to the current policies of the Zionist regime.
Mahmoud Basal emphasized that due to hunger and the lack of basic necessities of life and the deteriorating humanitarian situation, thousands of children in Gaza City are facing death threats.
