Escape to Death: Story of Gaza Refugees Who Have No Shelter

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Following the severe Israeli attacks on Gaza City, many families have been forced to flee to the Al-Mawasi area. Although this area was introduced as a “safe zone” by the Zionist regime, it has been repeatedly targeted by brutal attacks.

Ahmed Awad, one of the refugees, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that he fled from northern Gaza on Saturday while mortars were raining down on them. He added: “We arrived here at midnight, but there was nothing; no water, no toilets, nothing. Families are sleeping in the open. The situation is very dire.”

AbedAllah Aram, another Palestinian refugee, also reported a “severe shortage” of drinking water in Al-Mawasi. “There is very little food, and people in these tents are hungry and malnourished,” he said. “Winter is coming, and we desperately need new tents. Furthermore, the area does not have the capacity to accommodate more displaced families.”

The report shows that Palestinian refugees in Al-Mawasi are facing a critical and inhumane situation, with basic needs not being met and threats continuing.
