TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, local sources in Syria reported that a demonstration was held in the city of Homs, central Syria, today.
Participants in the rally expressed their opposition to the security coordination of the Jolani regime with the Zionist regime.
Jolani, the leader of the ruling Syrian regime, told Reuters on Wednesday night: "Our talks with Israel may lead to tangible results in the coming days."
He also emphasized: "A security agreement with Israel is a necessity and must include respect for Syria's airspace and territorial integrity."
Jolani continued: "If the security agreement with Israel is successful, other agreements can be reached. But peace and normalization of relations are not on the agenda at the moment."
He claimed: "The United States is not putting any pressure on Damascus to reach an agreement with Israel."
Last Tuesday night, Axios, citing a source it called informed, announced that the Zionist regime has presented a detailed proposal for a new security agreement to the Golan regime, which includes a map from southwest Damascus to the border with the occupied territories.
According to the report, Asaad Al-Shaibani, the Foreign Minister of the Golan regime, and Ron Dermer, the Minister of Strategic Affairs of the Zionist regime, discussed the proposal on Wednesday in London in the presence of Tom Barak, the US envoy for Syria.
Axios further wrote that the Israeli proposal divides southwest Damascus into 3 areas, each of which has different security arrangements.
According to the American media outlet, the proposal is based on the expansion of the buffer zone on Syrian territory, and the presence of military forces and heavy weapons on the border with the occupied territories is prohibited.
According to Axios, based on the Israeli proposal, the entire southwest Damascus area to the border with the occupied territories will be a no-fly zone for Syrian aircraft.
