TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera Qatar, Israel’s Channel 12 announced that a person in The Hague, Netherlands, who was planning to enter the Israeli embassy building and set it on fire, was arrested by security forces.
No further details have been released about the identity of the arrested person and his possible motive.
This claim comes a month after official Israeli media reported on August 11 that 3 people were arrested for spraying blood paint on the door of the Israeli embassy in the Netherlands and breaking its gate.
The Israeli ambassador to the Netherlands wrote in a post on X that the incident occurred in the early hours of that morning.
He noted that Dutch police had arrested the suspects and expressed confidence that all necessary measures would be taken to prevent similar attacks in the future.
The incident also came shortly after Israel's El Al airline announced it would evacuate its Paris office.
The decision was made after the company's office walls were covered in slogans reading "Genocide Company" and its entrance was sprayed with red paint.
