Syrians’ General Strike Against the Jolani Regime

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Sheikh Ghazal Ghazal, head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Alawites in Syria, announced that Alawites in the country will launch a five-day strike in all areas to peacefully protest the actions of the ruling regime.

He added that the general strike will be held from the 8th to the 12th of this month.

Ghazal Ghazal stated that with the fall of the previous regime, tyranny was supposed to be overthrown, but what happened was the real fall of the country under the slogan of freedom. They want to celebrate the replacement of a more oppressive regime by force. The rulers have resorted to arrests, killings, beheadings, kidnappings, and destruction.

He added: "Today, they want to force us to participate in celebrations that are held on our blood to shut our mouths. We demand an end to the killings and the release of thousands of military and civilian prisoners. We will not remain silent in the face of any aggression against the Alawites, but will respond with a storm." It should be noted that elements affiliated with the Jolani are preparing to celebrate the so-called anniversary of the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
