TEHRAN (Defapress) - Human Rights Watch stressed that the recent attacks by the Zionist regime on reconstruction equipment and civilian facilities in southern Lebanon are a clear example of a war crime.

Israeli Attacks on Lebanon Are a War Crime

According to Al-Mayadeen, the human rights organization emphasized that after turning many border towns and villages in southern Lebanon into ruins, the Israeli army is now trying to hinder the process of rebuilding the destroyed areas and the return of residents.

Human Rights Watch stated that more than 360 pieces of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, as well as an asphalt and cement production plant, were destroyed in these attacks.

According to the organization, no signs of military targets were observed in the places targeted by the Israeli army. There was also no evidence that the targeted equipment was used for military purposes by Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Even if some civilian machinery or facilities were purchased or maintained by individuals associated with Hezbollah, this in no way makes those locations or equipment legitimate military targets, Human Rights Watch stressed.
