Neutrality Regarding the Gaza Genocide Is Not Permissible

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Jazeera, Sheikh al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, stated in a speech: The Palestinian issue has reached a dangerous stage of injustice that one cannot be 'neutral' about it.

In a meeting with the Italian ambassador to Egypt, al-Tayeb, referring to the lack of real international will to adopt a two-state solution, said that there is no disagreement on the Palestinian issue, because it has reached a level of injustice, aggression, and departure from all civilizational, religious, human, and moral values ​​that do not accept neutrality.

Sheikh Al-Azhar referred to the killing of children and innocent people and said that the situation has reached a point where no one has any choice but to oppose these crimes or participate and be complicit in these human tragedies.

He concluded by stating: We have lost many martyrs in this cruel and unjust Israeli aggression, which cannot be called a war, but rather a genocide carried out by an army equipped with the most powerful weapons against a defenseless people.

Sheikh Al-Azhar added that the two-state solution has been proposed for more than a quarter of a century, without the international will to realize it.

Sheikh Al-Azhar stressed that the international arena has undergone a significant transformation after it was accustomed to confirming the narrative of the occupiers through false propaganda with media mechanisms that promote their claims, and the nations of the Western world have taken to the streets to condemn the crimes in Gaza and accused the occupiers of committing crimes against humanity.

In this meeting, Al-Tayeb particularly praised the Italian port workers who refused to load ships with weapons to kill civilians in Gaza, describing their position as humanitarian, indicating a living conscience and sincere humanity.
