Iraqi Security Forces on Alert Near Syrian Border

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Malouma, a source in Al-Anbar province announced that Iraqi security forces affiliated with various institutions have been put on alert in all areas of the border with Syria.

He added: "This action follows the escape of dozens of ISIS elements from Syrian prisons. Iraqi security forces have been deployed extensively in the border strip with Syria in western Al-Anbar."

The source stated: "Dozens of ISIS elements have escaped from prisons in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa in Syria, and there are concerns about the possibility of their infiltration into Anbar and other Iraqi provinces."

He stated: "The scenario of releasing ISIS leaders and elements from Syrian prisons is a secret plan that is directed and managed by international parties."
