Tel Aviv Is Strengthening New Mercenaries in Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the American newspaper Wall Street Journal reported that the Israeli regime is secretly and covertly supporting new armed mercenaries inside the Gaza Strip to confront the Hamas movement.

This action by Tel Aviv is aimed at bypassing the restrictions set for the occupying army in the ceasefire agreement. The armed mercenaries are present in areas under the control of the Israeli army, but they carry out sabotage operations outside these areas.

The Israeli regime also provides them with intelligence and air support. Hossam al-Astal, the leader of these armed mercenaries, had recently taken responsibility for the martyrdom of a Hamas member inside the al-Mawasi area.

Hamas has also threatened these mercenaries and announced that the price for treason will be very heavy. Earlier, Abu Shabab, the previous leader of the mercenaries supported by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, was killed.

These mercenaries have no popular standing with the Palestinians because, in addition to collaborating with the Zionist regime, they commit crimes against the residents of the Gaza Strip.
