Suspicious Action by the Zionist Regime in Southern Lebanon

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the UN peacekeeping forces stationed in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced that the Zionist regime released a chemical substance in the area yesterday.

The forces emphasized: The Israeli army informed us on Sunday morning that it intends to carry out an air strike over areas close to the water hazard and that our forces should move away from this area and remain inside covered areas.

UNIFIL added: We helped the Lebanese armed forces take samples from the area to determine the level of toxicity of these substances. This action by Israel is unacceptable and contradicts UN Resolution 1701. The release of these substances can endanger the health of people and civilians, and at the same time raise concerns about the return of people to their homes in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health also announced that it is investigating these chemicals and their negative impact on agricultural products in the southern regions of the country.
