Europe Should Oppose Moving Towards the Nazi Mindset

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei wrote on X: The European Union and three European countries once played a pivotal role in international diplomacy and helped form the JCPOA in 2015, a prominent achievement of European foreign policy that was destroyed by this same US government.

Referring to the positions of German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz and his pressure on the European Union, he stated: "Some members of the European Union are at risk of being on the wrong side of history by complicity in the aggressive actions and war crimes of the United States and Israel against the Iranian nation, one of the oldest and most stable civilized countries in the world."

He said: "The European Union must oppose any move that is reminiscent of the historical mindset of the Nazis and instead adhere to its commitment to international law and justice."
