Hamas Seeks to Ensure Full Implementation of Ceasefire Agreement
TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Shahab, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement on Sunday: The meetings of the Hamas delegation with Egyptian officials are being held within the framework of the movement’s continued diplomatic contacts and efforts with the mediators.
The Hamas spokesman emphasized that the purpose of these meetings is to inform the Egyptian authorities of the occupation regime’s continuous violations and to oblige the regime to adhere to the roadmap agreed upon with the “so-called peace council.”
Hazem Qassem emphasized that by increasing its consultations with the mediators, Hamas seeks to ensure full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and prevent sabotage by the Zionist regime at various stages of implementing the agreement.
These statements were released as Khalil al-Hayya, Head of Hamas' political bureau, met with Hassan Rashad, head of the country's General Intelligence Service, on his first official visit to Egypt today, and discussed the consolidation of the ceasefire and the post-war phase.
