Authority of the Yemeni Army in the Fight Against the Hegemony of the US and Saudi Arabia
TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with the Defapress correspondent, Hassan Hanizadeh, an expert on West Asian affairs, said: Ansar Allah's recent action in clearing important parts of the cities and coasts of Yemen has changed the equations on the ground in favor of the Yemeni people.
Hanizadeh added: Over the past months, Saudi Arabia, by gathering thousands of mercenaries affiliated with the former regime and forces from different countries, had occupied various cities including Amran, Lahej and Jawf and had also seized two important and strategic islands, Greater Hanish and Lesser Hanish around the Bab al-Mandab Strait. With these measures, Saudi Arabia intended to remove Ansar Allah from the Yemeni power structure and remove this deep-rooted group of people from the Axis of Resistance.
The expert on West Asian affairs stated: Ansar Allah responded with a crushing blow to Saudi Arabia’s recent actions and the bombings carried out against Yemeni urban facilities, and by striking and launching missiles at Aramco facilities, which are also joint facilities between Saudi Arabia and the United States, in the east and south of Saudi Arabia, the country’s oil exports reached their lowest level in decades.
He noted: This action is a sign of the internal authority of Ansar Allah of Yemen to confront the joint hegemony of the United States and Saudi Arabia. The liberation of the two important islands of Greater Hanish and Lesser Hanish and the complete dominance of Ansar Allah over the Bab al-Mandab Strait caused severe fluctuations in the oil markets, such that the price of a barrel of oil exceeded $110. This is a sign of the true authority and complete dominance of Ansar Allah over the region and as part of the axis of resistance.
Hanizadeh concluded by reminding: More than 5,400 square kilometers of the western coast of Yemen, which was under Saudi occupation, were cleared, and three battalions of Saudi mercenary forces were also captured by the Yemeni Army and Ansar Allah, which is considered a major victory for changing the field equation in the region.
