Turkey's New Military Column Dispatched to Northern Syria

TEHRAN (defapress)- Well-informed sources reported on Monday that a new convoy of the Turkish Army vehicles and equipment and hundreds of Ankara-backed militants have been forwarded to Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo to join Operation Olive Brach against Kurds.

Turkey's New Military Column Dispatched to Northern SyriaThe sources reported that a military convoy of the Turkish army left Kafr Lusin border-crossing for Northern Idlib heading towards the town of Salwah at the opposite side of the towns of Afrin and Dar al-Izza in Western Aleppo.

In the meantime, the AMN reported that 500 militants of Faylaq al-Hamzah affiliated to the Free Syria Army (FSA) have been sent to Afrin to join battle against the Kurds after they went under four-month-long military training by Turkish army.

Also, 150 of Ankara-backed militants, including gunmen of Ahrar al-Sham, entered Turkish territory via Atmeh passageway to go through Bab al-Salamah passageway in Syria's Azaz to join battle against the Kurds in Rajou, Bolbol, Jandris and Sheikh Hadid.  

Field sources said on Sunday that the army forwarded a new convoy, including 60 military vehicles and a large number of elite forces to Qoroq Khan region in Hatay at the border with Syria, adding that the convoy is waiting for final order to move to Afrin region to join Operation Olive Branch forces in war on the Kurds.  

Meantime, Kurdish combatants shot down another Turkish military helicopter in Afrin region on Saturday, killing 9 Turkish soldiers.
