Syrian Army Pounds Terrorists' Positons after Militants' Attack on Residential Areas in QuneitraTEHRAN (Defapres)-Terrorists, deployed in the Northern and Western directions of the town of al-Ba'ath (new Quneitra), launched mortar attacks on residential units in the town and its suburbs.

The artillery and missile units retaliated and pounded terrorists' positions, destroying their positions and military equipment and killing or wounding a number of the terrorists.

The terrorist groups, specially the Al-Nusra front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board), deployed in Quneitra's countryside are supported directly by Israel.

Field sources reported last week that the terrorists stationed in Northern Quneitra launched offensives against the Syrian army in the town of Hazar.

According to the report, the Syrian army units repulsed their offensives in clashes with terrorists and artillery and missile attacks against their positions in Jabata al-Khashab, Oufania, Asmadaniyeh Qarbiyeh, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Horiyeh and Mashareh.

Reports also said that militants in Dara'a al-Balad also launched rocket attacks on the districts in Northern al-Khat and al-Kashef in Dara'a.

The Syrian army responded to the offensive with artillery attacks on terrorists' positions.
