Rocket siren heard in occupied Palestinian landsTEHRAN (Defapress) – Zionist regime's fighter jets targeted Palestinian Resistance forces in the north of the Gaza Strip and al-Mina al-Jadid on Wednesday morning.

In response to Israeli attacks, Palestinian resistance forces in the Gaza Strip have been firing rockets into occupied lands since Tuesday morning.

Hours after the Israeli regime’s strikes on Resistance forces’ positions, sirens were heard in southern occupied lands along the border with Gaza Strip, Zionist daily Haaretz reported.

Palestinians in Gaza Strip have lived under a devastating Israeli regime-imposed blockade for years, severely restricting their access to basic needs.

The Popular Resistance Committee (PRC), which is a coalition of a number of armed Palestinians groups, announced on Wednesday morning that they will not accept any ceasefire until the occupying enemy stops its attacks on the Gaza Strip, Al-Mayadeean TV reported.

There are contradictory reports that Hamas and the occupying regime of Israel have reached a ceasefire. The Israeli i24 News quoted a Palestinian Islamic Jihad official as saying that Resistance movement has agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire, while a senior Zionist official denied the report.

On the other hand, the US ambassador to the United States, Nikki Haley, has called for an emergency US Security Council session over retaliatory rockets fired from Gaza at Israel.
