Senior Commander of Turkey-Backed Militants Assassinated by Unknown Raiders in Northern Syria

TEHRAN (Defaprees)- Abu Ali al-Babi, a notorious commander of Ankara-backed militants, was assassinated by unidentified attackers in al-Bab region in Eastern Aleppo, locals sources said on Saturday.

The sources said that senior commander of Turkey-backed Ahrar al-Sham Abu Ali al-Babi was gunned down by unknown raiders in al-Qout settlement in al-Bab region on Friday.

Abu Ali was in charge of supplying arms and ammunition to Ahrar al-Sham, the sources said.

The sources further said that intensified assassination of militant commanders by unknown raiders and looting of peoples' assets by Ankara forces have caused people in the region to call for expulsion of militants from Aleppo province in several demonstrations.

The sources went on to say that other regions in Northern Syria that are under the control of the Turkish troops or their allied militants have been wrapped in increasing insecurity.

A large number of civilians in the town of al-Bab in Northern Aleppo poured into the streets last week and called for expulsion of the Turkish Army men and their allied militants from their region.

Hawar news quoted local sources in the village of Qabasin in al-Bab region in Northern Aleppo as reporting that the Turkey-backed terrorists have been looting civilians' possessions and assets.

The sources told Hawar news that the Ankara forces are forcing people in al-Bab to leave their houses to find enough room to shelter their own members, enraging people in al-Bab who were calling for expulsion of terrorists from their town.

In the meantime, the Turkey-backed forces arrested and killed a number of civilians in the region or called for a hefty amount of money as their ransom.

Hawar news further warned that infighting among Ankara-backed terrorists and looting people's assets are underway in the town of Afrin.
