1st VP: Iran after more solidarity with Caspian Sea states, China

TEHRAN (Defapress)-Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at Rasht airport on Tuesday, Jahangiri said connecting China to Iran through Kazakhstan is one of the most important steps.

In fact the goods transported from China to the West via railway pass through Iran, he added.

The railway will be inaugurated as a place for transporting goods that enter Iran through Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea, Jahangiri noted.

He expressed hope for establishing good ties and more solidarity with the Caspian Sea Littoral States and China.

During his one-day tour to Rasht, capital city of Gilan, Jahangiri is scheduled to inaugurate China-Kazakhstan-Iran corridor and some industrial projects, port and tourism projects.

The first shipment will also enter Caspian Port through this corridor.

Attending a meeting with secretary of Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones is also on Jahangiri’s itinerary.
