Iranian general urge Iraq to extradite, expel terroristsReferring to Iran's recent missile strike on positions of Democratic Kurdistan Party in retaliation for the group's terrorist acts, Chief of Iran's Armed Forces Command Headquarters Major General Mohammad Baqeri said that the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and the DKP officials promised via a written document that they would not attack Iran.

However, they breached their promise as the result of the US provocations, he added.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Sunday confirmed that it had targeted the terrorists position with seven rockets on Saturday.

The Iranian general also urged Iraqi and Kurdistan region officials to not permit bases in their territories to be used for destabilizing neighboring countries.

The missile attack was a self-defense, Baqeri said adding that Iran reserves the right for alleviating security threats.

He also noted that precision of the missile strike was not accidental, he said expressing hope that the same response would not be required in the future.
