Guarantor States of Peace Talks Trying to Take Back Syria's Idlib with Minimum Casualties"The guarantor states of Astana peace talks are trying to pave the way for step-by-step return of Idlib to the legal government of Syria without casualties or big problems," Jaberi Ansari said on Wednesday

The senior Iranian diplomat reiterated that Idlib situation is sensitive and complicated as three million people are living in the province and international terrorists groups are in control of the province.

Jaberi Ansari, heading a high-ranking delegation, is now in Moscow to hold talks with the senior Russian officials on the latest regional developments, specially the crisis in Syria and Yemen.

In relevant remarks in later September, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani lauded Tehran's positive role in Syria, stressing cooperation with the country to fight against terrorism.

The meeting was held in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting.

Guterres hailed Iran’s positive role in Syrian developments, and stressed more cooperation with Iran in the fight against terrorism and helping crisis-hit peoples in the region, specially in Yemen.
