SANA reported that the army forces clashed with a number of the terrorists from what remains of Daesh sleeper cells in the region after they launched an unsuccessful attack against two army positions to the west of the 3rd Station in Palmyra countryside of Hama province.
The army units also repelled an attack by al-Nusra Front terrorists in northern Hama countryside, after the terrorists breached the de-escalation zones agreement.
The report added that the army operations led to killing and wounding many terrorists and destroying their equipment.
Under a deal reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in September, all militants should have withdrawn from the demilitarization zone by October 15.
However, al-Qaeda-linked Takfiri terrorists said they refuse to either leave the buffer zone or hand over their weapons.
