The growth of commercial exchanges between Israel and Arab countries during the Gaza war

The Zionist regime's Central Bureau of Statistics indicates the growth of the volume of commercial exchanges between Tel Aviv and Arab capitals in the first half of this year.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the report of the Zionist regime's Central Bureau of Statistics, the volume of trade between this regime and the UAE reached 271.9 million dollars in June 2024, which has increased by 5% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The so-called "Abraham Accords" institute, citing the report of this organization, stated that in the first six months of 2024, the total trade exchange between the UAE and the Zionist regime reached 1.66 billion dollars, which has grown by 7% compared to the same period in 2023.

The volume of trade between the Zionist regime and Bahrain witnessed a significant jump and reached 16.8 million dollars in June 2024, which was a 740% increase compared to June 2023. Accordingly, in the first half of 2024, the volume of trade between Manama and Tel Aviv increased by 879% to reach 70.5 million dollars.

The Abraham Accords Institute is an American non-partisan organization that supports the implementation and expansion of compromise agreements between the Israeli regime and Arab countries. 

As for Morocco, its trade volume with Israel reached 8.5 million dollars in June 2024, an increase of 124% compared to the previous year. In the first six months, the total trade between the two sides reached 53.2 million dollars, representing a growth of 64% compared to the same period in 2023.

The report also shows a noticeable increase in trade between Israel and Egypt, as it was valued at $35 million in June 2024, a 29% increase over the same month last year. Accordingly, in the first six months of 2024, the total commercial transactions between the parties reached 246.6 million dollars, which has grown by 53% compared to the same period of 2023.

On the other hand, trade between Israel and Jordan saw a decline, reaching $35 million in June 2024, down 14 percent from June 2023. In the first half of 2024, the volume of trade between the parties decreased by 16% and reached 213.8 million dollars.

Economic cooperation between some Arab countries and the Zionist regime has expanded in the context that this regime has launched a devastating war against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, during which more than 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred so far.
